From Jesus & the Unabomber: Now note of those crumbs of the gods Jesus’ intimate love of John, as demonstrated in the Gospel of John:
– and the disciple standing by, whom he loved John 19:26
– saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother John 19:27
– that disciple whom Jesus loved John 21:7
– the disciple whom Jesus loved following; which also leaned on his breast at supper John 21:20
And finally (John 21:21-23):
-Peter, seeing him, said to Jesus, “But Lord, what about this man [John]?”
-Jesus said to him, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you? You follow Me.”
-Then this saying went out among the brethren that this disciple would not die. Yet Jesus did not say to him that he would not die, but, “If I will that he remain till I come, what is that to you?”
The point is that if one sees the person then there is a chance that they will see the eight days old child. Then the message can convey.
